Research Notes on Educational Effectiveness
The first edition of RNEE will be published in the fall of 2007. Many scientific fields have the capacity to disseminate important findings in
an expeditious manner. Both Nature and Science, for example, have the capacity
to move critical findings from the laboratory to the research community in an
efficient manner. Providing a rapid turn-around peer-review process for research
on educational effectiveness, SREE’s Research Notes will be disseminated
bi-monthly through the web as an open access publication. Authors who have manuscripts
selected for publication in Research Notes may be invited to submit full length
manuscripts to the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness.
Investigators are invited to submit manuscripts to Research Notes in one of
three categories:
- Intervention and evaluation studies – reports of
experimental and quasi-experimental studies of educational interventions and
programs.
- Population and policy studies – reports that model
patterns and trends in educational achievement across specific demographic
and ability groups and/or analyze the impact that a particular policy has
had on achievement levels of different populations of students or teachers.
- Methodological studies – reports of advances in instrumentation,
research designs, or analytical approaches that support studies of cause and
effect relations found in educational settings.
