First Annual Conference 2008 - Get Involved

Call for Nominations for Officers of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness
and Formation of the Executive Council

Call for Nominations

As stipulated in the Bylaws of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE), four officers will be elected on an annual basis, with each officer serving a period of 12 months*. The four officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) constitute the initial Executive Council of SREE and will serve as members of the Board of Directors. The Executive Council will eventually include six members comprised of the four elected officers, the President elect and the immediate past president. The Executive Council, in consultation with the Board of Directors, provides the primary leadership group that endeavors to achieve the mission, direct the activities, and manage the resources of SREE.

As part of SREE’s continuing growth and development, we now seek nominations for the above noted officers. Individuals who submit nominations must be members of SREE, in any category of membership (student, professional membership, or institutional membership). An individual nominated for office must be a current professional member of SREE or become a member prior to accepting his/her nomination. Nominations may be accepted for only a single office in a given election period. In order to nominate an individual for an office, please use the nomination form available on the leadership portion of the SREE web-site (see www.educationaleffectiveness.org). You may also mail or fax the nomination form, a copy of which is available in your conference materials.
